The SkillAir Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) is a partnership between Northbrook
College Sussex, Farnborough College of Technology and Brooklands College
who have joined together to provide Aircraft Engineering Training within
the South East of England. All three colleges have established reputation
for providing first class Aircraft Engineering training to meet the
needs of both employers and students.
Farnborough will address aircraft manufacturing engineering training. Brooklands and Northbrook will provide training in aircraft maintenance engineering.
SkillAir will talk to Employers about their aircraft engineering training needs and where it cannot satisfy these needs from its own resources will attempt to put the employer in touch with suitable training providers.
SkillAir will also encourage young people to see aircraft engineering
as a worthwhile career that they should investigate to see if it is
for them.
It has been acknowledged that there is a shortage of suitably trained people entering the aircraft engineering industry and SkillAir will attempt to address this shortage.
